I have a load of tracks where the title (in many cases partially duplicated to work) contains text in brackets. However in many instances the title will also contain other bracketed text where i would prefer to leave the brackets in.
Example:
(Alles nur nach Gottes Willen, BWV72) - 1. (Chorus). Alles nur nach Gottes Willen…

I am really struggling to underand how to do this
First -using the replace action I seem to be able to remove "(" but it will do it for every instance.
I also can't work out how to replace ( and ) in one action (or the contents of brackets, not that that is my direct aim), or how to replace in two or more fields at the same time

I think can understand (up to a point) how to replace characters generally using the replace expression or possibly otherwise in regular expresions (My understaidng of regular expresions is very weak but i can follow simple examples) but whenever I try to duplicate an expression for say hyphens to brackets I get an error message, presumably because the bracket is read as part of a code expression rather than as a character.

So... Can anyone help me with how to replace the brackets around the text in"(Alles nur nach Gottes Willen, BWV72)" without removing the second set of brackets? Ideally in one go for both fields, although I can live without that.

NB I am a newbie here although I have been using Mp3 tag for donkey's years. I have tried quite hard to find an answer by searching. Apologies if I have missed it.

Try Convert\>Tag-Tag for TITLE
Format string: `$regexp(%title%,'\((.*?)\)(.*)',$1$2)`

This should remove the first pair of brackets.

Thanks- especially for such a swift reply

I’ll try that later (I’m out all day I’m afraid).
