# Remove part of a field and save it to another field?

Hello. I have some files that contain both the artist and song title in one field (the title field) with space-forwardSlash-space in between (artist / song title). I'm wondering if there is a way to use an action to cut everything before the forward slash, and paste it into the artist field. If not a cut-and-paste then at least a copy?

From TITLE = "artist / title" to ARTIST = "artist", to TITLE = "title".  
Copy TITLE to ARTIST, remove title part from ARTIST, remove artist part from TITLE.

Begin Actionsgroup **lee321987**

Action #1  
_Actiontype 5:_ **Format tag field**  
_Field:_ **ARTIST**  
_Formatstring:_ **%TITLE%**

Action #2  
_Actiontype 4:_ **Replace with regular expression**  
_Field:_ **ARTIST**  
_Regular expression:_ **\s/\s.\***  
_Replace matches with:_

[\_] case sensitive comparison

Action #3  
_Actiontype 4:_ **Replace with regular expression**  
_Field:_ **TITLE**  
_Regular expression:_ **.\*\s/\s**  
_Replace matches with:_

[\_] case sensitive comparison
