# Remove text after specific string

Hi again,

How I can remove all text in the comment field, that come after a specific string (say in my case: '

**').**

I've tried:

[/t/13292/1](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/13292/1)

Replacing what correspond, with no success, not knowing what I'm doing wrong !!!???

Any suggestion, thanks...

remove everything after

 including 
:  
$regexp(%fieldname%,
.\*,)

remove everything after

 :  
$regexp(%fieldname%,(
).\*,$1)
