# Removing mp3v1 Tags

My first post - hopefully in the right section...

I have used this excellent MP3 Tagger for a long time and have both the Windows and Mac versions. I want to ask how to set the programme (or app in modern speak?) to always remove mp3v1 tags. I have managed it in the Mac version easily and I am sure that I have managed it in the past on my Windows computer but this time it still does not remove them.

If I have managed it, there is a screen grab of what I believe is the relevant settings pane...

Could that be the reason:

Thank you - and I did search for mentions of that before...

I am sure that I had it working in the way I describe before recently (when I had to re-install the programme) and the Mac version does it exactly as I would understand "remove" to mean.

As pointed in the linked topic,

It's the same behavior on Windows and on Mac. Please let me know if you observe something different (incl. version number of Mp3tag used).
