I have found and successfully used edit strings found in Support Forum that delete a parenthetical expression (and its contents) from a file tag field (e.g. Title: "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" becomes "Satisfaction"). However, I have not found any suggestion that would **just** remove the parentheses and extra space, leaving the text between the former () in place (e.g. Title: "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" becomes "I Can't Get No Satisfaction"). Suggestions welcome, please! Also, thanks to the authors of the helpful suggestions cited above. ---

As you replace text constants (and no patterns) use a simple replace action that replaces each bracket with nothing. ---
