# Removing Text before the -

There are at least two ways to accomplish this:  
**a)** You can use the **[Convert](https://docs.mp3tag.de/converters/)** menu in the GUI. The advantage is the immediately view of the preview result before you apply it to the selected songs  
or  
**b)** You can use an [Action](https://docs.mp3tag.de/actions/) as ohrenkino showed you in [his answer](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/copying-fields-and-adding-them-to-blank-fields/60215/8)
