You could try this suggestion:

Regular Expressions

Convert artist names in the form 'Artist, The' Regular expression: (.*),\sthe$ Replace with: The $1

In Convert Tag -> Tag (with immediate preview) you could also use this more precise suggestion:

$regexp(%ARTIST%,'^(.*), [tT]he$',The $1)

This would match a lowercase , the and also a mixed case , The at the end of your ARTIST content and always modifiy it to The (The followed by a space).

Explanation for the above regular expression:

Leading and trailing ' is necessary in Mp3tag's Convert because the regular expression itself includes a comma.

If you prefer an Action from Type "Replace with regular expression":

then you don't need the leading and trailing ' (apostrophe) anymore.
