# Replace single quotes?

I tried the following and get an error:

```
$replace(%genre%,',#39;)

```

[SYNTAX ERROR IN FORMATTING STRING]

I also tried to escape the single quote, but get the same error:

```
$replace(%genre%,\',#39;)

```

am i missing something?

Write two single quotes.
