# Replay Gain Tags

Hello everyone...
Some of my tags have Replay Gain tags with extra "0" in them:
-7.050000 db
I would like an action that would remove the extra "0" and make them:
-7.05 db

Please tell us something about the reason, why do you want to modify this Replay Gain value.
If you really want to change this Replay Gain value, then you can try out following proposals:
From: -7.050000 db
To: -7.05 db
$regexp('-7.050000 db','0+ db',' db')
... or ...
$trimRight('-7.050000 db','0 db')' db'
... or ...
$trimRight('-7.050000 db','bd 0')' db'

Thanks for the reply.. What I'm trying to do is get rid of the extra "0" in the tags. When I originally tagged the files, the values were all like (-8.67 db, -5.55, etc), but some program that I have used since has added the extra zeros.. Not just on -7.05 db but on all values:
-9.990000 db to -9.99 db
1.090000 db to 1.09 db

Because in general there is no need to manipulate textual stored RG values within Mp3tag, ...
please explain the reason, why do you want to modify this Replay Gain value.
If it will be only a cosmetic approach, then leave it as is, and use your time for better things to do.
You may have a look into this thread ...
