Hello @jcguy, welcome to the Mp3tag community.

I don't quite understand your request; could you elaborate on your idea?

Hello @jcguy,

Are you referring to the 5-star rating option in the column, similar to the iTunes rating system?

Hello @jcguy,

I did some research. @ohrenkino already answered this question and explained how to proceed in January 2010; here is the link:

You could also follow this suggestion to enter stars in a column as rating values:

> Addendum, 13.03.2023, 16.30 Uhr: There is an additional way to apply the star rating using "[Custom list values](https://docs.mp3tag.de/customization/tag-panel/#editing-fields)" for the Field POPULARIMETER that let you choose your own unicode stars like ★ from a drop-down-box in the Tag Panel. All you need is to add a new field to your Tag Panel like this (you can name it as you like, in this example it's called POPM): This allows you to choose the stars for your selected tracks from the POPM drop down box in the Tag Panel: […

Thanks for your examples @ohrenkino and @LyricsLover... 👍

I did a test with iTunes, as ohrenkino mentioned, iTunes stores them locally in a database on the PC, and the data doesn't appear in Mp3tag.

My question is, can we use a command in the Mp3tag program to retrieve the iTunes data from the PC's database and transfer it to Mp3tag?

No.
But you could create 5 automatic playlists in iTunes, one for each rating star and then drag&drop the contents from each playlist into MP3tag and set the rating value in MP3tag.

Thanks @ohrenkino,

I think I understand your method, which is very simple.

Example: In iTunes, I take 3 audio files and check that they are rated 5 stars.

In Mp3tag, I take the same 3 audio files at the same time, click in the rating field, choose 5 stars, and save all 3 files once. We then have the same ratings in iTunes and Mp3tag…
