# Request SORT feature allowing sort using character-only format

Sort is sorting using numeric numbers and not by character numbers. Would like option so that SORT is done using total character-only format.
The enclosed example shows how SORT Titles currently is using numeric numbers and not character numbers.

Quite honestly, I do not really know what should be different if the titles would sorted differently.
If you want to get a column to be sorted in a different way, you can always apply a format string in the property "Sort by", e.g.
`$if($eql($num(%title%,1),0),%title%,$num(%title%,4) %title%)`
