# Request to Implement Trimming Features

I am a professional media distributor and i have been close enough with Mp3tag for the last 4 years. I do use **Mp3tag** for tagging tasks and i do use **Kristanix File Renamer Turbo** _**( [http://www.kristanixsoftware.com/filerenamer/features.php](http://www.kristanixsoftware.com/filerenamer/features.php) )**_ to accomplish tasks which Mp3tag cant do it 4 me.

I would like to see Mp3tag getting implemented features like Trim, Add counters etc..
I am just trying to suggest new ideas to Mp3tag Dev's, as every user is directly or indirectly Obligated to do so and i am NOT commanding the Dev's to implement those features 4 me.
I know u people may have forgot those tiny features and i know it isnt because the Dev's are Lazy; I am not pointing out those features are easy to integrate, I SIMPLY MEAN Florian Heidenreich & OTHER DEV's ARE ENOUGH SCRUPULOUS 2 IMPLEMENT THOSE FEATURES WITHIN SECONDS :smiley:

Are you talking about trimming the contents of a field? That's easily done in Mp3tag using the $trim() function.
_Action type:_ **Format value**
_Field:_ **ARTIST**
_Format string:_ **$trim(%artist%)**
