# save tag

i have just started using mp3tag and am having problems now saving tags when i save them it says they are saved but when i play my music in windows only a few have changed

Try to stick with _one tag type per file type_, i.e. for MP3 you could get rid of APE and ID3v1 tags and stick with ID3v2.3 only. That is recommended practise and helps avoiding confusion.

(See Tools/Options…/Tags/Mpeg and so forth.)

_Hint:_ When asking for help/support, it helps very much to more precisely specify your setup (i.e. _What_ Windows version? _Which_ music player? _What_ type(s) of audio files? …)
