The Composer field typically contains multiple composer names separated by a double backslash (`\\`). For instance, “Solomon Burke`\\`Aretha Franklin`\\`Andre Williams`\\`Bert Berns`\\`Jerry Wexler`\\`Verlie Rice`\\`Otis Hayes`\\`Ted White”. Is there a quick way to replace the double backslash with a comma+space (, )? I’d like the entry to appear as “Solomon Burke, Aretha Franklin, Andre Williams, Bert Berns, Jerry Wexler, Verlie Rice, Otis Hayes, Ted White”. I tried using Quick Actions, but it doesn’t seem to recognize the double backslash.

Try an action of the type "Merge duplicate fields"

> **[Merge Duplicate Fields – Mp3tag Documentation](https://docs.mp3tag.de/actions/merge-duplicate-fields/)**
>
> Documentation on the Merge Duplicate Fields action type that can be performed as Quick Action or as reusable workflow from Action Groups. Mp3tag is the universal Tag Editor.

Just explained here:

> [@TWO ARTIST fields? No, THANKS...!](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/two-artist-fields-no-thanks/68741/6):
>
> The syntax Delerium\\Sarah McLachlan is only the Mp3tag visual representation of ARTIST (0) Delerium ARTIST (1) Sarah McLachlan

The visual representation is valid for ALL multi-value fields like ARTIST, ALBUMARTIST, COMPOSER, GENRE and so on...

You can't replace the non-existing `\\` but merge them as @ohrenkino explained. With all advantages and disadvantages.

Please check carefully, if your player and software really can handle a COMPOSER with the single name “Solomon Burke, Aretha Franklin, Andre Williams, Bert Berns, Jerry Wexler, Verlie Rice, Otis Hayes, Ted White”
