# SIngles and soundtracks

I was wondering what folks are entering for the album when the track is a single only, or a single that is also a song on a movie soundtrack?

If it is truly a single, I.e. from a 7” 45, a CD single, or even a download, I use the “A” side or lead track title as the Album name in my library. But if it is a track from an album that I just didn’t get a complete rip for all songs, I’ll put the original album name, and include the original track number and total track count as well. Just my method, but you may manage this completely differently.

Forgot to mention, I also add "(Single)" or "EP" after the other text in the Album in these cases to clearly indicate that.
