Hello,
i created a custom column like here described: [What is the pixel size of the cover image? - #4 by astrohip](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/what-is-the-pixel-size-of-the-cover-image/52896/4)
tldr:
value: %\_cover\_width% x %\_cover\_height%
Most of the time it works but sometimes it doesn't.

I created the metadata with MusicBrainz Picard.
In Picard options -\> Cover Art -\> Cover Art Archive -\> Only use images of the following size: Full size
If there is a custom size chosen like 500px the bug doesn't happen.

Example: [Release “Blue Tick” by Crypto & Biometrix - MusicBrainz](https://musicbrainz.org/release/5e699aab-2204-4922-b660-64c14795729e?tport=8000)
If i use a random song in .m4a format and set it in Picard as the example release and save it Mp3tag is unable to display the cover and in my custom column is only the "x" which i use as a divider symbol between %\_cover\_width% and %\_cover\_height%.

What format is the image in the cases where the details are missing? Are they embedded in the file or a sidecar image file?

I think it is embedded as i only have one file.m4a
The embedded cover image is a .png file from [https://ia800606.us.archive.org/25/items/mbid-5e699aab-2204-4922-b660-64c14795729e/mbid-5e699aab-2204-4922-b660-64c14795729e-40459567828.png](https://ia800606.us.archive.org/25/items/mbid-5e699aab-2204-4922-b660-64c14795729e/mbid-5e699aab-2204-4922-b660-64c14795729e-40459567828.png)
Could it be that the image is to big with 25,2 MB?
In Picard i can see the cover image.

See e.g. here:

> [@Cover Art limit?](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/cover-art-limit/59469/2):
>
> From the spec for [ID3v2](https://id3.org/ID3v2Easy) "Since each frame can be 16MB and the entire tag can be 256MB you'll probably never again be in the same situation as when you tried to write a useful comment in the old ID3 being limited to 30 characters." Since the artwork is one frame of the tag, it is subject to the 16MB limit.
