Sort releasedate in the tag panel

does not comply with that ISO and should be modified.
The welcome side effect would be that the ISO compliant date would then sort without any additional statement for the sorting order.

And if the desired display of DD-MM-YYYY is restricted for MP3Tag, the value of the column could be changed on the base of one of the many suggested expressions for sorting.

You have earned a point with this ohrenkino. I discovered that my Plex does not support dd-mm-yyyy. Does anyone have an idea for a faster way to convert the tag dd-mm-yyyy to the ISO 8601 format?

Select the files in which you want to rearrange the numbers.
Open Convert>Tag-Tag for RELEASETIME

Enter as format string

If you have executed one of the above commands, don't forget to remove the
Sort By: command in your column definition for Releasetime.
The "Sort by" is no more needed after your RELEASETIME content was changed to YYYY-MM-DD.
