# Sorting by filetype

I have a question about the first column, where the icon of files are shown
Why does clicking this column does not sort out the files by filetype? Why I must use a separate column to do so?
Clicking that very first column does rearrange files but in some way that I can't seem to make a pattern of
Also: why can't I simply move that column or even completely turn it off?

I would have never suspect that the function of this very first column is for generating randomness
I always assumed that ["default" purpose of] Mp3tag is for maintaining order; and if I want to have random playlist I need to use such an option in audio player; or some export configuration within Mp3tag
Thanks for the info
[Unfortunately for me, this requires from me creating yet another column]
