# special characters in Tag fields

When I save UnsynedLyrics that contain carriage returns or new lines, MP3Tag displays them as little boxes. I was wondering whether there's any way to display the carriage returns/new lines?

Given the above, it would be helpful if I could specify that certain items being displayed in the Tag panel to the left of the screen, be multi-line.

This is not possible as far a I know. However, if you switch to the ![:mt_tag:](https://community.mp3tag.de/uploads/default/original/1X/e7edc735a96d8d241c37593e98667ab3dc20c6b6.png ":mt\_tag:") Tags window, CRLFs should be displayed correctly as such.
