# substitute a character for another when renaming?

If the title field in a tag contains an invalid character for a file name, like ? or /, I would like to know if it is possible to substitute another character like a -, instead of having nothing. If not I think that would be a useful feature for future version.

P.S. whoever made mp3tag did a very well job! much more intuitive and easier to use than ultra tag editor, which i think costs 29.95!

Yes. Use an Action like this:

Format value "\_FILENAME": $validate($num(%track%,2) %title%,-)
