# tag an mp3 from folder name

i have all my mp3s named a certain way (track - artist - title), i have removed the tags from all mp3s to start clean, i have tagged them all with genre and then tagged by filename, but am wondering if i can tag the album to the mp3 from the folder name that it is stored since it is not in the filename of the mp3? Or do i have to highlight the mp3s from an album and tag that way

Hi jdc442!
Yes you can, you should load the sub-folder (e.g. you have d:\Music\%album%\%track% - %artist% - %title%, then load d:\Music) and enter "%album%\%track% - %artist% - %title%" as a formatstring in Filename-Tag Converter.
