# Tag - Filename cached Format strings - How to purge?

This has come up before here ([Tag-Tag, Tag-Filename etc. format string - General Discussion - Mp3tag Community](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/tag-tag-tag-filename-etc-format-string/13993/2) in 2012) and here in 2016 ([Tag to Filename Format String -- History Removal - General Discussion - Mp3tag Community](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/tag-to-filename-format-string-history-removal/17940)).

I have some twenty in my list for Tag \> Filename

Any outlook or alternative ways to clear out most of the list?
