Hi, first off, thanks for an excellent free program. This has been doing wonders for organizing my MP3s (in combination with Winamp Auto-Tag). I'm having difficulty with ID3v2 tags that have forward slash in data. For example, if the artist is "Rasco/Planet Asia" then when I do Alt+1 to rename the file using the tags, the directory structure is all wrong.
I eventually found the "scripting functions" section, and used the $validate function but I had to search quite a bit. I think adding keyword "Format String" and refer to "Scripting Functions" would be helpful:
Anyway, this is the Tag --\> Filename format I am using now:
M:$validate(%genre%\%artist%\%artist% - %album% - $num(%track%,2) - %title%,-)
