# Tag multiple tempos

I have a soundtrack for a show I'm working on tagging, and I would like to include the tempo of the song in the file. However, many songs have tempos that change mid-song (which is pretty common in music in general). As far as I know, the standard tempo tags for audio files only support one tempo, so I'm wondering, how do I add multiple tempos? Should I use the average tempo, or something else?

Yes, this is so.
And as soon as you leave that route everything from now on is down to personal taste and what the player supports so that you have a benefit from that piece of information.
