# Tagging with WMP

I find the menu options of Windows Media Player very confusing. I was wondering if someone could provide a brief explanation of how tagging works in WMP, what settings to enable/disable, and what other things to watch out for. I'm worried that I will overwrite tags somehow because of my inability to use it properly. Thanks very much!
