# Title extraction from filename

Sometimes we need to extract the title from the filename which can be parsed quite easily.

Use Convert \> Filename - Tag (Alt+2) or create an action:

_Action type:_ **Guess values**  
_Source format:_ **%\_filename%**  
_Guessing pattern:_ **%track% - %title%**
