# TVSEASON not working for MKV

Mp3tag's TVSEASON field should be mapped to Matroska's PART\_NUMBER T=60 tag for MKV files.

You ask for this because the MKV documentation says this about [Target Types](https://www.matroska.org/technical/tagging.html#target-types)?
It seems that Mp3tag is currently writing TVSEASON with Target Type=30:

Yes, currently, MP3tag simply defaults to creating a Matroska tag named TVSEASON, at target type level 30 (Chapter level, the wrong level for MKV).
Target type value for season level information should be 60.
And, TVSEASON is not an official Matroska tag name.
MS Windows does not display anything for it.
Thus, as per [Matroska specification](https://www.matroska.org/technical/tagging.html) Mp3tag's TVSEASON field needs to be mapped to Matroska's PART\_NUMBER tag at target type level 60 (T=60).
If this was done, then Windows would recognise the target type level value, and display the held part number as Season number.

As I say, MS Windows (Windows 10 at least) recognises MKV PART\_NUMBER (T=60) and displays it as Season number (Windows property: System.Media.SeasonNumber).
Mp3tag's TVSEASON field displays in Windows as Season number when used with MP4 files, so I think it really ought to be mapped and working properly for Matroska video (MKV) too.

I've just released [Mp3tag v3.28e](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/455), which adds a mapping of `TVSEASON` to T=60 `PART_NUMBER` for MKV Matroska video files.
Please test this thoroughly. My impression is, that there are not that many people using Mp3tag with Matroska, so it's good to catch any potential issues early.
