# Unable to Add Tag to WAV Files

Hello:
I am a new user of Mp3tag. When I attempt to add tags to an album of WAV files, I get an error message "No MPEG header found in file . . . \*.wav" for the first file.
I have been able to retag FLAC and M4A files without any problems.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Tagging WAV files is not supported.

Could you not make your WAV files FLAC? Can you hear the different I can't. After all it is a lossless format. And one if the best out there. [beatbort.com](http://beatbort.com) have AIFF as an option... The only reason they don't sell FLAC is the compatablity issues it has with certain players. So IMO go with FLAC all the way if you can 😃
