That's the (new) indicator that the file exists, but can not be modified by Mp3tag due to errors.  
You should [check and fix](https://community.mp3tag.de/t/hints-for-asking-support-requests/56190#check-problematic-files-for-errors-3) such files first.

You can filter F3 for such damaged files for example with  
`%_TAG_READ% HAS ERROR`
