# Valid Response from FreeDB

When I try to freedb determine by selected files it give this error msg:

## Mp3tag V.2.34a

The server failed to return a valid query response code

* * *

## OK

Is there any way to know if it is the freedb server problem? or the problem ir here?

Can you please increase the timeout value at Options \> freedb \> Server to **15** and try again?

If this doesn't work, switching to another [freedb mirror](http://www.freedb.org/modules.php?name=Sections&sop=viewarticle&artid=9) might solve the problem.
