Hi, I just signed up to the receive the mp3tag email notifications (wish I did this when I first bought it) but I got my first email today and it references:

The most basic thing you can do with Mp3tag is change the tags of one file. Just load a directory in Mp3tag using **File → Change directory…** — or CtrlD if you want to speed things up a little

I see this is not there on the Mac version. I wasn’t sure why - but I would love to have that feature on the Mac version is possible.

What about File - Open?

Command + O

With that you can change directories.

Edit: It doesn't follow the same directory you originally opened, but that is maybe a setting I haven't set.

Please note that the course you've signed up for is for the Windows version. There are many subtle differences between the two versions.

@mjcm is correct, the counterpart for **File → Change directory…** is **File → Open...** on Mac. It's a little more advanced there, because it supports folders and files alike.

Yeah, I spoke about wanting that exact setting a week or two ago (I think in General Discussion). Try to open the last directory and if it doesn’t exist work down the tree -but- just open the File Open dialog as the parent directory (of the last opened directory) may have thousands of files in it.
