# When installing a beta build for the first time, the "Also include development builds (Beta)" checkbox is not ticked by default

The issue is that, when installing a beta build for the first time, the "Also include development builds" checkbox in: Options | Updates is not ticked by default.
But, you still get a notification to update to newer beta versions.
e.g. I clean installed 3.08b beta. On launch the "Also include development builds (Beta)" checkbox in Options|Updates was not ticked:
but I did get a notification about the newer beta version 3.10a :

This is intentionally ignored, so if you're on the beta you always get notified on new betas. I'm not interested in installations that stay forever on outdated beta versions.

Thanks for responding, but since the option is ignored, i.e. if on the beta you'll always get notified on new betas, why not make (when on beta) the checkbox ticked by default + locked(=prevent from being unticked), to reflect the actual behavior? That was the purpose of my report.
