Can anyone tell me how to get this fixed feature to work?

I get an output order not resembling any previous file list order, or any recognisable order.

I've further investigated in that issue and think that I finally fixed it. Would you mind sending me an email so that I can send you an unofficial version for testing?

That fixed it. For the record, before (v2.39b) the order was scrambled:
