# WinAmp style Artist sort

It would be usefull if MP3Tag ignored leading "The " in Artist when sorting. This would bring e.g. "Beach Boys" and "The Beach Boys" together and in the B's.

WinAmp currently supports this.

Just woke up and and didn't have my coffee yet, so I am not sure if this works. 😛

Try using **$if($eql($strstr(%artist%,The ),1),$mid(%artist%,5,$len(%artist%)),%artist%)** for sorting.
