Is there a way to speed up the tag writing? When I search and download the tag data it takes several minutes. It is faster when the file is stored locally, but I am looking for just any tips. Like is it possible to match all the files in my window before writing the data? Then I could let it do its thing in the background vs checking on it repeatedly to see if it's finished with one file.

Thanks!

Edit\* Sorry to mention. I'm running MacOS

That doesn't sound normal. I know that excluding mp3tag from Windows antimalware will significantly speed up indexing the files when a directory is opened, but not sure if it would help write operations. But you could try it.

It looks to me like it still has the same root cause as this thread:

> I am editing a lot of files on my NAS and it is time consuming to update a title and wait for the change to save then the next and so on. Is there a way to essentially pause any saves until i'm ready. I could go through and make all my changes, then when i'm ready push the changes to the files. Then I could work on other things, or even walk away from my computer while the changes are saved.

Are your search results including large size cover images? That can dramatically increase write times.

It's searching audible and does include album covers. I just searched again for one audiobook and the image is 1000x1000 and 209kb.
