Search for it by title (I use it 90% of the time and it works). The artist for that is Aaron North with Benny Dawson as a feat. artist.

Your album artist tag is wrong here. That is not my fault. I tested searching with title **I Wanna Be (Benny Dawson Remix)** with this example and it comes back with 5 searches. Is that not good enough?

I don't offer you to do anything you don't want to.

Hi stevehero !
You're doing great work dude !
But I have a little problem ☹
Maybe because I'm a noob with this client, but I would like to :

- Analysis a folder with track key / title etc... (idk how to display track key)
- Make automatic analyzes, like I just press a button and all my folder is analyzed

Hope you'll answer me and understand me.

Greetings

Both of these questions are similar. You cannot analyse folders or automatically tag music.

You can tag on a per album (release scripts) or single track (single track scripts) basis.

Beatport displays this info on one page so this is where my script gets its info from. Nothing more nothing less.

Key info is displayed in traktor pro dj software. Although I'm pretty sure the scripts are setup to write them to the comment field too.

If it's appearing in that information window then the script is working. Something else is wrong or at fault. Not sure what it's causing that. Maybe the file has APE tags?

huh i check now in winamp...and woow cover is there but when i open file in mp3tag i can't see cover in tag panel cover window, so i think is mp3tag bug not your script. And if i remove ape tags, now i see cover in mp3tag panel window. Is this bug of mp3tag, feature or what 🙂 before it was working with ape tags

I couldn't tell you. Maybe post in the support section of the forum or do a quick search. Just glad it's not my fault 😛

My script has had no issues in two years and long may it continue. If you feel it's good a kind donation is always nice 🙂

I would say that your tags are out of sync and that you stored the picture in ID3V2 tags and left the APE tags empty.
And as APE overwrites V2 tags, you don't see a picture (even though it is there).
I would get rid of the APE tags altogether as they cause more trouble than do good.

I use stevehero's script for many years and everything was OK. 🙂

Now I have problem with files tagged in the last month. When I played them with Windows Media Player in Now Playing Mode doesn't show covers.
I'm confused because for ex. VLC and Winamp show artworks without any problem. ![](https://community.mp3tag.de/uploads/default/original/1X/f15ee73c0fd9ec3b0db7481f0558638f8ee224ce.gif "")

After tagging, files get covers, I see them with mp3 tag software, that is ok... but when I play them in WMP I dont see covers. When I add cover from BP manualy problem is same, but when I add picture from other sources WMP shows covers on played files.

So... files tagged in last month only played in WMP doesnt show covers.
Earlier tagged files works perfectly in WMP! Thanks God! 🙂

For ex. I also used discogs script by Pone in last month, but everything with artworks in WMP is OK.

It seems that something happend with BP pictures...or wmp has problem...

</div>

Yes, I checked that. I haven't folder.jpg. When I make this file, mp3 without cover get that cover picture. That is ok.

In WMP:
Add local media files to library when played - unchecked
Add remote media files to library when played - unchecked

Only, but only BP pictures for files tagged in last month have problems in wmp.

I think that you can set the behaviour of saving graphics after the execution of a web source script in the Utils-Menu that is hidden in the button at the bottom of the web sources dialogue.
Perhaps you have unchecked the option to save the picture not only in the files but also in the file system and you have modified the default file name for artwork from folder. jpg to something else.

Bottom of web source dialog:
Save image to tag - checked

I have changed nothing in file system, because everything works very well.

Shorter description:
WMP (Now playing mode) shows covers for files tagged with discogs script.
WMP (Now playing mode) shows covers for files tagged with BP script except for files tagged in last month.
VLC and winamp shows covers for all files anyway.

When I manualy add picture from BP and save tag, wmp doesnt show the cover again, except if picture from other source is.
I think it's case for X-files 😃

To be honst: WMP does not remember the tag sources that you have used for tagging.
And as I cannot look over your shoulder and find out what the differences are, you have to be as cunning as possible to find the cause.
I would check the tag versions that are in the files (APE usually causes trouble), I would check the files themselves for integrity, and I would check if there are more than one embedded picture in the files and perhaps one of them is invalid/empty, whatever.
Or the picture type is not quite right: bmp instead of png or jpg.

Yes, you're right about everything. My pictures in tags are jpg and only one picture. Tag version is ID3v2.3. Mp3 files is full correct, checked in mp3val.

Please, for test, if you could manualy put any beatport cover picture to any mp3 file (drag and drop way) and play it in wmp to see what will happen?

This is what happens:
I d&d (which I usually never do) a picture from BP to Mp3tag's tag panel and save the modification.
The file has now 2 embedded covers.
I delete the old one in MP3tag.
I switch to WMP - it still shows the old picture.
I delete the track only from the library.
I restore deleted files.
(The preview now shows already the new picture)
I play the track and see the new picture in the "now playing" window.

Thank you very much!
I see I have problem with only JPG from beatport.

For testing I used image resizer and I converted that jpg to another jpg, I used new jpg file, and finally I can see cover in wmp. My new converted cover has same size 500x500, and amost same file size - about 3 KB more.

Conclusion is everything works very well, but still dont know why my new files get different type of jpg from BP whether I use the BP script or manualy put the cover directly from BP.
