Hey, **alwayswrming**

I had similar problems and asked **pone** if he could do something about it. Unfortunately he said no.

Bah! I see that now.. that's unfortunate!

My intention is to be able to have featuring artists be listed with the main artist in %artist%, then use the albumartist field to organize the album by main artist

for example:
Love The Way You Lie (Eminem feat. Rihanna)

ALBUMARTIST = Eminem
ARTIST = Eminem\\Rihanna

But, like you said, this is currently not possible. For now I will have to do it manually.
Thanks for the reply though 😉

First off all I want to thank you for your tremendous work in this script. I'm finding a little bit difficult to change the scripts behaviour so that it puts track positions as numbers in vinyl releases. Tried many times, is my approach correct?

1. Load the settings mp3 file

2. From extended tags, pick "TRACK & DISCNUMBER"

3. Change this setting:

Trackposition (as written on discogs page): \>TRACK

- write Trackposition only for Vinyl & Cassettes \>yes

to

- write Trackposition only for Vinyl & Cassettes \>no

1. Update the file

2. Create scripts from actions

This is what I've done and it still gives me A1, A2... etc in vinyl releases. It's bugging me, can't figure it out. Would be great if you could help, please! Thanks.

It seems that Discogs has changed their API again (or something similar) and the scripts are unable to use any of the "Search By..." functions

It still works if you use "Direct by Discogs ID", "Direct by Discogs URL", "API-List ...", or "Standard Search"

Hi!

I just started using this awesome mod and searched and read through most of this topic,
but couldn't find the answer, so hopefully someone can help me.

I always tag the albumname with the year and label included.
For example: Lanterns [2014, Astral Industries]
where Lanterns = album title, 2014 = year and Astral Industries = label

Is there a way to automatically add these (values including the spaces and the brackets) to the albumtitle?
And maybe it's also possible to remove the word "Records" from the labelname if that word is included?

"Lanterns [2014, Astral Industries]" is possible.
In the settings mp3 file, go to OTHER FIELDS & OPTIONS. There are three "Additional Web Sources Script Code for ... script(s)" sections. In all three of them, write:

#`
outputto "ALBUM"
say " ["
sayoutput "YEAR"
say ", "
sayoutput "PUBLISHER"
say]
#`

Keep
Album: \>ALBUM
as it is in the default setting.

Removing the word "Records" is not possible.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I've placed the text in the 3 sections, but that gives me a completely blank "adjust tag info"-screen. I've also tried it on your default mod, to make sure I didn't make any other changes before that would conflict, but with the same result.

Here's a copy of the other fields & options text as I have it now:

Album: \>ALBUM
Title: \>TITLE
Track Index: \>CHAPTER
Country: \>COUNTRY

- write COMPILATION=1 for multi-artist-releases \>yes

do not write the following fields: \>ALBUMARTIST\<\>ARTIST\<\>MIXARTIST\<\>YEAR\<\>TRACK\<\>TITLE\<\>GENRE\<\>NOTES\<\>WWW\<

- debug path: \>C:\debug.txt

Hi.
I'm new with mp3tag and Pone mod but I'm very pleased with it 🙂
I have one question/problem. Is there a way to save year as year of master release.
Let me explain. Sometimes we have to tag reissued albums, with some additional bonus tracks. I want to tag this releases using year of original release, not year when reissue was released. I want to have year value when album was originally created.
Is there any way to do this with Pone mod?

Well, I think it could be explained easier. I want to tag any version of album with YEAR value taken from master release.

Yes, I know this situation and had it in mind when creating the extra scripts for master releases. But since I don't use it myself and it was never requested in the forum, I almost forgot about this function. In fact, I eliminated the easy way to access the master page that I had there in the first place.

You have to tag these albums in two steps.
First from the reissue album page at discogs, which has the correct track list and all the extra informations you want.
Second from the master release page itself. But it seems that the only way to access this is via the API-List Artist Script. And that has the disadvantage that it doesn't list the full discography of artist with large discographies anymore.

The option for this is:

OTHER FIELDS & OPTIONS:

- when tagging from a Master Release Page,
do not write the following fields: \>ALBUM\<\>ALBUMARTIST\<\>ARTIST\<\>MIXARTIST\<\>TRACK\<\>TITLE\<\>GENRE\<\>NOTES\<\>WWW\<\>COVERURL\>

I will work on that and rebuild the Master Pages into the API-List Master Release Page script. Update will come today.

OK sfMan, this is just for you for testing. I think everything should work fine, but I didn't do many tests on different releases. So please report back after some time and tagging if you have experienced any errors or strange behaviour.

You have to relplace two files at the "Mp3tag\export" folder, adopt the setting as explained above, and create new script files via the menu (actions\>discogs pone\>create scripts),
After that, you will have quick access to the master pages via the "API-List Master Release Page" script". The master release will be always in the first line there.

Hey.

When there are several fields in **Label, Company, Catalog Number etc:** section like [here](http://www.discogs.com/Kryptic-Minds-Namaste-EP/release/4393961), here's how they are written in tags:

**Published By: Just Isn't Music - none
Mastered At: The Exchange - none**

How do I get rid of " - none" part in each line? Thanks.

Pone

Is there a way to add "saynewline" to the script to update all src's.

Manually, i can update each individual src put that takes a while and must be done each time I make an update change.

here's my manual solution:

outputto "Credits"
saynewline
say "Notes:\\u000d\\u000a
movechar 2
sayuntil """

again, want to add this when creating edited script.

Thanks
