[WS] Discogs (pone mod)

works great. i was on the right way with my idea. thank you

The search stopped working.

discogs has a new advanced search interface. new design and some new functions.
i will update the script sometime this week.

If anybody wants to help, we need a search script which can parse the results from this page:
http://www.discogs.com/search/advanced

hi.

i was wondering if anyone have a discogs tagger based on their digital releases information, like:

http://www.discogs.com/mp3/Various-Sembeh-...-Volume/1980308

there seems no api though for it :frowning:

Hi Pone, sry but i'm not so good in programming is your script able to use the official API?

Thnx u for reply.

Look, we have a page with album: http://www.discogs.com/Dilated-Peoples-The...release/3096918

for example, track #3, we have a producer and featuring, so I need write in title this:
No Retreat ft. B-Real

Tracks with more than one guest. track #16:
Ear Drums Pop (Remix) ft. Defari, Phil Da Agony, Planet Asia & Everlast

Variable "ft." (featuring, feat., or something...). Can we do it with your script?

Hello, I was wondering when the new update for the Discogs script might be ready?

I am willing to help anyway I can. I am not a programmer though, so I can;t help you with that.

I don't know. The update needs a few hours of concentrated work. I just don't have the time at the moment. Maybe this weekend, but I can't promise anything.

Hi Pone!

What about my question of write in tag featuring field from discogs? Thnx u in advance.

Some changes on Discogs? Have problems with taging...

There is a bug in the latest version which brings no result at all. Execution breaks (not even debugging works).
I think this has to do with some non-script lines not-commented in final scripts.
I will check further to see which one exactly causes the issue.

Yeah you need to use the "Discogs ID" option

Hi pone. I made this post a little while ago, and I'm wondering if you've had time to find a solution yet? I apologise for being impatient. I can see that you're a busy man, so I don't want to put any undue pressure on you.

With that in mind, perhaps there is a permanent solution. Is there any way to get the standard script to do what the modified script does? That would help immensely, as I wouldn't need to pester you for help every time discogs changes something. Appreciated as always.

To clarify, what I meant to say is can I make an action in the "Discogs Pone 4 Web Script Settings.mp3" file to replicate the job of the modified script you made for me? That is, to sort the discogs results by date and automatically select the earliest one. What do you think, is it possible?

Hi Pone
we need your help !
By the way, thank you for your beautifull work these last years

I've tried to fix most of the search scripts. Try it.
