Hi everyone!
I will anser my self on this, because I have e found a better way to this so that the changes will remain after the scripts are created.
Edit the file
"%APPDATA%\data\actions\Discogs &Pone#Create &Scripts (after editing the settings mp3 file).mta"
Change
F=Discogs Pone Create ParserScriptAlbum Standard
1=$getenv(mp3tagappdata)\\data\\sources\\Discogs &Pone# Direct by URL (&www).src
To
F=Discogs Pone Create ParserScriptAlbum OrigYear for URL(WWW)
1=$getenv(mp3tagappdata)\\data\\sources\\Discogs &Pone# Direct by URL (&www).src
Copy file
"%APPDATA%\export\Discogs Pone Create ParserScriptAlbum Standard.mte"
To
"%APPDATA%\export\Discogs Pone Create ParserScriptAlbum OrigYear for URL(WWW).mte".
Edit the file
"%APPDATA%\export\Discogs Pone Create ParserScriptAlbum OrigYear for URL(WWW).mte". Change line "'outputto "'$regexp(%year & date%,'.?Year:\s+>(.?)\r\n.',$1)'"" To "'outputto "ORIGYEAR"" Change line "#< ## COVER for Master Releases# $if($eql($regexp(%other fields & options%,'.?download cover artwork\s+>(.?)\r\n.',$1),yes)," To "#< ## COVER for Master Releases# $if($eql($regexp(%other fields & options%,'.?download cover artwork for Master Release\s+>(.?)\r\n.*',$1),yes),"
Edit the file
"%APPDATA%\export\Discogs Pone Create Direct by URL (WWW).mte" Change line "[SearchBy]=$lower($regexp($if2(%'$regexp($regexp(%discogs id & url%,.?Discogs Release URL:\s+>(.?)$.,$1),^$,www)'%,%'$regexp($regexp(%discogs id & url%,.?Discogs Master URL:\s+>(.?)$.,$1),^$,www)'%),^www,http://www,1))" To "[SearchBy]=$lower($regexp($if2(%'$regexp($regexp(%discogs id & url%,.?Discogs Master URL:\s+>(.?)$.,$1),^$,www)'%,%'$regexp($regexp(%discogs id & url%,.?Discogs Release URL:\s+>(.?)$.,$1),^$,www)'%),^www,http://www,1))"
Open the file "Discogs Pone 4 Web Script Settings.mp3" with Mp3tag.
You don't have to change anything there. This is to customize my script. You can change the names of the tag fields which the script uses for the discogs info. And you can select what information you want from discogs, can combine some information into one tag field, and choose the way some information is written.
If you leave all untouched, you get the settings I have choosen as default.
Resume with step 7 and 8 from the strarting post instruction and test the secript. That will make some things clear. After that, you allways can repeat the steps 4-7 to change the settings of the script.
Am i right that with this script ill be able to search discogs with catalogue numbers? rather than just 'album titles'?
Btw great work! I know i havent used it yet but want to say i admire your effort on making things easier for people
Take care
Just wanted to add i have installed it now and it seems to be ok
Is there a way that with using this script it will enable me to go to Tag Sources>Discogs and let me search by Cat No or label and NOT just by album title?
Yes and no. It has worked before, but this script is out of function at the moment. I have to do a little update, but I'm a bit lazy on that for some time now.
The script which has this function is/was Tag Sources>Discogs Pone>Search by Label + Catalog#.
Maybe I will fix that this week. I have some spare time right now for things like that.
This is: 'Curtis Lynch Jnr*, Kele Le Roc, Red Rat – Thinking Of You'
If i let discogs search this on MP3 Tag. It does find 'Thinking of you' by Kele Le Roc but it only shows one version.
I definitely feel if there was more of of just that 1 option of searching by 'album title' i would be much more likely to narrow it down to what i'm looking for.
Try finding this: 'Curtis Lynch Jnr, Kele Le Roc, Red Rat – Thinking Of You' on mp3tag....
Because i can't
So hopefully your fix will enable me to locate files like this!
Thanks again and keep up the good work!
Hi just to add:
If i go to: Tag sources>discogs_pone>direct by ID and put this in: 342983
Do you get empty fields with all my scripts?
If so, most likely something went wrong during installation.
Have you used the file which dano has fixed for me? [WS] Discogs (pone mod)
Can you show me what file dano fixed for you?
Im struggling to find it.
Also i thought i might add i accidentally replaced a file earlier which may be my problem.
The file is: sfv.mte locaed in: C:\Documents and Settings\Mart\Application Data\Mp3tag\export
Would this be my problem?
If it is my problem do you have a replacement one to send me?
The search is fine and returns results.
You then select one and it takes you to the next screen.
The results after you select the album (in the Adjust tag information window) are empty apart from the track lengths. Ive tried this with many albums and get the same results.
Screenshot attached.
If someone could tell me where I need to tinker Id be happy to have a try to fix it. Otherwise any help would be much appreciated
