# \[X\] APE-Tag are not removed

Mpeg: Option write APEv2 isn't set. Option remove APE is set. (=default)
Tag is: ID3v2.3 (ID3v1 ID3v2.3 APEv2)

Well? And what seems to be the problem?
The display is correct as it shows, that the tags which have been read follow the named conventions
If you want to delete APE tags you a) best do not read them - so disable the option read for APE as well
and 🕶 you have to modify a tag because otherwise nothing is saved to the file which means that the file stays as it is.

No, you must use "File \> Remove Tag" to remove a complete tag.
