# \[X\] Bug with Tag Fields

I'm currently using Version 2.44.

If I select multiple Songs and then tipe in the Year on the left side and klick on Save, the Year will be inserted correctly but the Genre Field will be deleted.

Hi,

Check in File - Options - Tag Panel - Default Values if there is at the Field Genre selected.  
If so change it into and try again.

Well, that works. Thank you.

I thought this was a bug because I did a clean installation of Mp3tag and didn't change anything there.

Does the uninstall and the subsequent reinstall delete/overwrite the files in the Settings Directory ?

For XP:  
Documents And Settings\<user\>\Application Data\Mp3tag

For Vista:  
Users\<user\>\AppData\Mp3tag

Else it would be understandable that a reinstall didn't resolve his problem
