# \[X\] Embedded Artwork and WMP

I have added a cover artwork to mp3 files by drag and drop into Mp3tag's artwork box but then these cover image are not displayed when playing the songs in Windows Media Player.
On the other hand, some sample songs (wma files) that come with Vista have embedded artwork which does display in WMP.
I am using Mp3tag v2.37f and Windows Media Player 11 in Windows Vista Ultimate.
Am I doing something wrong or is there a limitation/bug somewhere?

Are you writing ID3v2.4 tags? WMP does not support that tag version. Please check with ID3v2.3 and let us know if it functioned.

Yep, I was writing ID3v2.4 tags. Switch to v2.3 UTF-16 tags solved the issue. Thank you!
