# \[X\] Failure to retain edits to filelist

If a directory is loaded and then the filelist edited (e.g. entry deletions, moves), then mp3tag exit and relaunch reloads the directory but loses the edits.
A workaround is to save and load the filelist as a playlist.

Changes at the file list (changing the order of items, deleting items) are per-session only. Your workaround is the recommended way of saving those changes.

Well yes, that is what I reported!

I don't see that recommendation anywhere. I suggest it would be a good idea to include it with warning of the edit loss, in Help.
