# \[X\] GENRE - Drop Down List

Hi,  
When I use the drop down lists in the tag panel I get a list of  
the different tags used, like in Year, Album etc - but when I drop down  
the the genre list I can't see which genres have been used; instead I  
get the list of all available tags.  
Not a major issue but when you have 20 albums of some strange esotheric music  
it would be good to see the different genre tags, before I change them all to one...🙂

This is not a bug, but a limitation of the feature.

I would like to see this feature too. Maybe an option to not display pre-defined genres in the drop down, only the genres of the selected tracks. When I select "show only user defined genres" I still don't see the genres of the selected tracks like you can with all the other fields. This would be really useful to see which genres exist in a large selection.
