# \[X\] installer config overwrite

Though uninstall lets the user retain all the config files, install does not e.g. it overwrites a retained columns.ini file.

I suggest install should erase no user data without asking.

I assume that you're referring to the columns.ini in the program directory and not in the user directory at %APPDATA%\Mp3tag.

This is not considered a bug.

What's the point in uninstall keeping user data that install then erases?

Are you referring to data stored at %APPDATA%\Mp3tag or at Mp3tag's program directory?
