I have an instance where I want to apply the action :
“Format value : _DIRECTORY - K:\Music\%albumartist%\%year% - %album%\”
onAlbum1 but several different albums that I did not select when applying the action get sent to the same directory as Album1 too. If I do apply the same action to Album2 only, Album1 will also be sent to Album2’s folder. Etc.
I have tried restarting the software, the computer, cleaning and defrag my HDD where K:\ is but it keeps happening and only for a handful of albums as if they were “linked” somehow. Does anyone have an idea what’s happening?
If you rename a folder, then all objects in that folder are moved to the new location.
Apply the action to rename a folder only if the number of source folders is greater or equal to the number of target folders.
If you want to move files from 1 source folder to several target folders, rename each file with Convert>Tag-Filename or Format value for _FILENAME
I have just tried that action, and that action only to a directory where different albums were, which are not Album1 or Album2, etc. I’ve talked about in my first post and it did as it always did : create folders in K:\ (music is originally on C:\) named “%albumartist%\%year% - %album%\” just for the tracks I had selected without interfering with the directory in was on C:\ or the other tracks that are still there.
