Mp3tag works perfectly with Wine in Liinux, but the problem is when I try to use the actions to organize myself into folders by artists, albums, years, etc., it does not work well due to the way Linux and Windows have different in how to plan disk drives path. If only someone could enlighten me on this. Thanks
What have you done so far?
Have you tried the Windows syntax to define paths and it does not work?
Have you tried the Linux syntax to define paths and it does not work?
What happens if you try the other way?
As far as I understand Wine, the emulator maps windows OS calls to the Linux OS.
I've tried using the syntax to define the path in Windows and it doesn't work, I've tried using the syntax to define the path in Linux and it doesn't work either, so what's the other way? This is the format strings thta I use to organize my music including in front the location path thta I want: %artist% - (%country%) - $replace(%genre%,/,_)\%artist% - %year% - %album% (%Metal Archives Type%)
You do not really tell us what you do exactly (you only talk about actions but don't say which), which error messages you get, if any, what the general outcome is.
Here is a thread about filenames under Wine:
