I was disappointed that the last 3 files 10-12 were also given the same modified time. Is there any way to stop that?

Ok, thanks, good to know. But why does the script update the modification time of the files that are not even being renamed? Where can I log a bug?

This is still not a bug:

File resaved and date changed when do nothing

Just for clarification: Mp3tag always writes metadata to the files when told so without examining first, whether saving it would result in any actual change to the file. This is by design and not considered a bug.

When I do it for all my mp3 I do not want everyone to be modified unnecessarily

A filter would reduce the number of treated files.

Ok, a filter was mentioned before. Can we apply the if check as a filter so that's done to remove files before the metadata is added?

Hello there, I am fairly new to using this software but can already see it's power. One thing I have noticed though is that it would be extremely useful if a filter could be added to an action, rather than having to remember or select a filter used previously in a specific scenario. Have you previously considered it and is it likely to be implemented?
