Adding to Tag Panel and Visibility of Tag in Windows Explorer

I want to add to the tag panel "ALBUM RELEASED". Usually, I just put the year at the end of the ALBUM. I did add the "ALBUM RELEASED" to the panel, that part was easy, and I hope I got it right but in order for the tag to be visible, I'm guessing you must go to the "ADJUST VISIBILITY OF THE COLUMNS" and add it there as well, problem is I have no Idea how it would be coded. I'm hoping somebody could help me here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you have a look at the documentation?

And where did you get stuck?

Actually, I just figured it out. I do read the documentation but sometimes I get an idea and get in a hurry to get something done rather than stopping and going to it. But it's done. Thanks for reminding me.

Well I thought I figured it out but there is one problem, the column that I created will not show in Windows. I was looking further and found that there is already a TAG PANEL instance called ALBUM YEAR which would work So I selected it and I went to the ADJUST VISIBILITY OF THE COLUMNS and the column was already there and I ensured it was a numeric column. I entered the date and went to save it but it didn't work, no date shown. I checked the format which was already there, looked fine to me. I went back to the OPTIONS>TAG PANEL and ALBUM YEAR>EDIT and foun that RELEASETIME in the Field Box, shouldn't it be ALBUMYEAR? I'm going to change it and see what happens. Maybe it works and maybe it won't. Windows has a column called DATE RELEASED, I just like to keerp things compatable but that field used in ther tag panelm will not show up in Windoiws and I have no midea why unless windows requires a specific format rather tha just a year.

The windows explorer is no good test bed to verify the validity of entries in various fields.
Here is a thread that shows which MP3tag fields map to something that the Windows Explorer might show:

In general: the field for

is YEAR - and as only individual files can have tags, it is the year of the title.
It is of course possible to create user-defined fields like ALBUMYEAR but these are usually not displayed in Windows Explorer.
