Select one file in the Mp3tag file list view.
Open the dialog 'Mp3tag/Actions/Actions/Action Groups'
Click the button 'New'.
Follow the further dialogs.

Create the following Action Group

Begin Action Group Format TRACK#Set TOTALTRACKS

Action #1
Actiontype 5: Format value
Field ______: TOTALTRACKS
Formatstring: %_total_files%

End Action Group Format TRACK#Set TOTALTRACKS (1 Action)

Save all changes.

How to apply the action group?
Select the group of tracks, which should receive the tag-field TOTALTRACKS with the same value.
Apply the newly created Action Group right away from the dialog 'Action Group' or invoke the new user defined action via the main menu, dialog 'Mp3tag/Actions' from the submenu 'Format TRACK/Set TOTALTRACKS'.
